RATES AND FEES FOR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT:
The City of Waynesboro Water Treatment Plant is located at 625 Green River Drive on the banks of the beautiful Green River. The water plant is capable of producing 864 thousand gallons of water daily, and uses flocculation, coagulation, sedimentation, filtration and disinfection in its treatment process.
Finished water is of high quality with a finished water turbidity average of .03 , a pH average of 7.2 and daily and monthly bacteriological samples show the water to be of exceptional quality. State Health Department inspections regularly inspect the water production facilities. Since 1994 all inspections have netted the City of Waynesboro Water System grades that remain in the high 90's. Our Consumer Confidence Reports are displayed on this web site, at City Hall and the Waynesboro Public Library.
The City of Waynesboro Water Treatment Plant is a State Certified Laboratory. Using the presence/absence method testing for Total Coliform & Escherichia coli (E-Coli).
